Politicians Versus Butchers

And Versus is back!

First off, apologies for such a long hiatus-working on Titan Defender Pushka took a while longer than expected, but it's out now and can be viewed on Tapastic.  Go check it out and let me and writer Leo Dyke what you think on the official Facebook page and Twitter.

Now, big Versus news-the series will now update five days a week!
So, Monday to Friday, you can read a new cartoon every day! Make sure to follow the series on TapasticComic Chameleon or Webcomics Now on your desktop, tablet or smartphone to get your daily dose of Versus goodness!

I was recently as WynterCon 2 in Eastbourne launching Titan Defender Pushka and promoting Versus.  It was an awesome couple of days-below are some photos I managed to get of the event...

Andy Kybett-the main man of WynterCon

Erica Kybett-the main woman of WynterCon

Leo Dyke, writer of Titan Defender Pushka dressed as the character

Richard Gladman, creator of Space Monsters Magazine and editor on Titan Defender Pushka

My snazzy looking pass-wish I knew who drew it...

My table

Author and thoroughly charming gent, Kit Cox.  We met last year at the first WynterCon
and it was a pleasure seeing him again this year.

Star Wars artist Bob Molesworth and I got to have a catch up this year...

Comic artist Grant Perkins and me had a chat about Doctor Who.  He also
told me I look taller on the internet...

And I got to pose with the TARDIS!

What a weekend.  A big thankyou to all involved!

And, next Saturday, I will be attending MasterCon 2, in my hometown of Ipswich.  I'll have Versus cartoons for sale as postcards, high quality prints produced by Carbon Creative Arts and framed, signed editions too.  I'll also be producing sketches on request.  So, come along and say hello!

Enjoy!

Surgeons Versus Shamans

Suggested (sort of) by Matt Day.

I always thought the plural of 'shaman' was 'shamen'-turns out it's not.  You learn something new everyday...

Matt suggested 'Doctors Versus Shamans' which I tweaked into the above cartoon...hope that's ok, Matt!

Well, it's the end of another year and 2014 was quite a year for Versus and my artwork in general;  two conventions under my belt, meeting fans face-to-face for the first time, getting hired to work on Titan Defender Pushka...so much has happened and it's been a blast.  I have some big plans for 2015-some are in motion right now, others are going to take some time, but all of them are pretty exciting.  Naturally, I'll keep you all up to date here, as well as on the official Facebook page and my Twitter feed.

So, to all of you guys, have a great New Year's Eve-have fun, be safe and I hope 2015 is a great year for all of you.

Happy New Year!

Foodies Versus Models

Ahh, the eternal battle between those who want to enjoy themselves
and those who care too much about their appearance...

Well, about time I spoke about WynterCon, I guess.

WynterCon was my first time attending a convention as a guest and I have to say, it was one of the best experiences of my life.  I ended up doing two panels, with a bunch of writers/artists which was a lot of fun (though nerve-wracking) to do.  We spoke a lot about our feelings on where comics are going; what works and what doesn't, that sort of thing.  It was really fun to sit around with a bunch of like-minded people and just chat about what we loved.  We all had to explain how we broke into comics, which was a bit weird, as I had to explain that my break was in the process of happening, what with me being hired for Titan Defender Pushka-but, everyone was really welcoming and I even got a pat on the back from David Leach, an editor for Titan Comics.  I met some amazing people; Jimmy Pearson, writer of The Heart of War and Bayou Arcana; Bob Molesworth, artist for the Star Wars and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics; Alan Campbell, author of Sea of Ghosts; Aneurin Wright, creator of Things to do in a Retirement Home Trailer Park and many, many more.  The thing that struck me the most, was how welcoming and friendly everyone was-it was a really supportive atmosphere to be in, which was amazingly inspiring.

I also met Dave Prowse (yes, Darth Vader himself) which was terrific.  He had some interesting stories regarding the making of the Star Wars trilogy.

And I finally got to meet Richard Gladman and Leo Dyke-the two guys I'm working with on Titan Defender Pushka-face-to-face.  We spoke a lot about where we'll be going with the title and I have to say, I can't wait to get it out there.  We're currently ironing out the kinks and applying a bit of spit and polish to the zero issue and we're hoping to have it launched ASAP.  In the meantime, here's the cover to whet your appetite:

A big thankyou to Andy Kybett and Catherine Herriott for organising the event-the amount of hard work you guys put in was amazing!

In other news, at the end of November, I will be doing my next convention, right here in my home town of Ipswich.  So, if you're in the area, come down and say hello!

I'll have limited edition prints of selected Versus Battles for sale-produced by the lovely folks at Carbon Creative Arts as well as some very limited edition framed and signed prints and a bunch of postcards featuring various Versus Battles too.

Speaking of the prints, Carbon do sell them through their website, so, if you want some, but can't make it to Master-Con, you can grab yourself some there.

And finally, Versus is now available on the Comic Chameleon Webcomic App ! The app is available for iPhone and will soon also be available for Android-it's a great way to read webcomics on the go, so check it out!

Enjoy!

WynterCon Special: Cosplayers Versus Zombies

What a weekend.

I've been in Eastbourne attending WynterCon and it has been amazing.  I met so many fantastic people, learned a lot and had one of the best experiences of my life.  I'll update later in the week with details of what I got up to, but, suffice to say, it was a blast.

In other news, Versus will soon be available on the Comic Chameleon webcomic app available on iPhone (and Android soon!); as soon as it goes live, I'll let you know!

Enjoy!
