 Years ago, I read an interview with the actor Tommy Lee Jones.  He was asked if-like a lot of men his age-he played Golf.  His response was that he had attempted it, but, quite quickly got bored as he realised he was spending his time 'waiting for a small ball to stop rolling'.  That always stuck with me and kind of sums up what I find so dull about Golf.  So, when it came to today's strip, I knew exactly where to go with it.
