Singers Versus Tribute Acts

Well, Night Con was a lot of fun.

I had the pleasure of meeting the actor Martin Ballantyne, singer Kelsey Ellison and cosplayer Katie Murray and produced a few sketches of some of the cosplayers who attended.

My sketch of Katie Murray, who attended as Harley Quinn

The Predator was also in attendance

Thanks to everyone who came along and made the event possible!

Happy Easter, everyone!

Deities Versus Extremists

Starting today and running through April, I'll be showcasing the cartoons I produced for AbsrdComedy a while back.  It occurred to me recently that not everyone would have had the chance to see them before and I wanted to rectify that.

Night Con is this Thursday at KC's Night Club in my home town of Ipswich and I'll be there doing sketches of all the cosplayers.  I'll be wandering the floor all night, sketch cards and pencil in hand, so, feel free to come over for a chat and to request a sketch!

Enjoy!

Politicians Versus Comedians

The final Battle in my Politicians mini trilogy is based on the recent news that comedian Al Murray will stand against NIgel Farage in the upcoming General Election.  I recently watched a piece that followed Al Murray around campaigning, in which a number of journalists accused the comedian of making a mockery of the whole affair by standing.

If you live in Ipswich, don't forget that next week I will be attending Night Con where I'll be producing sketches on request!

And talking of requests, I was recently approached by an old friend, Lucille, who commissioned me to produce a special cartoon for her friend, Michael.  Turns out Michael's a fan of the series and always wanted to see a Battle featuring Wolverine, whom he cosplays as at conventions.  So, Lucille asked me if I could produce a Versus with him, as Wolverine, taking on his best friend, Ross.

Michael recently got in touch to thank me and sent me a photo of the final, framed piece:

Glad you liked the cartoon, Michael!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Druids Versus Cleaning Ladies

Suggested by Johnny Hagz.

Johnny suggested today's Battle more as a test to see if the idea fit with the series-but, I liked it, so decided to make a Battle out of it anyway.  Hope you like it, Johnny and I look forward to receiving more suggestions from you!

Johnny has a pretty cool movie page over on Facebook-check it out!

I will be attending Night Con in a couple of weeks, where I'll be producing sketches for those who attend!  So, if you'd like an exclusive sketch by yours truly, pop on down and say hello!

And in other news, I can finally reveal that I have some artwork featured in the brand new film magazine, Multitude of Movies!

My Pale Rider piece

Toddlers Versus Health & Safety Inspectors

Today's cartoon is the first in a new mini-trilogy, featuring toddlers-which seems appropriate as I was at Titchy Con on Saturday, which was a convention aimed at younger fans.

The convention was a lot of fun, thanks to everyone who made the day possible and to all who attended.  I managed to get some photos of the day, first up my table:

A shot of the rest of the room (and Darth Vader).

And me at my table whilst my sister peruses the various prints and postcards I had on offer...and no, I don't know why I have such a strange look on my face.

Thanks to Matt Day for providing the last two photos!

Enjoy!

Step-Parents Versus Parents

Being a step-parent myself, I've had to deal with the above parent's question a few times...and I imagine I'll be dealing with it some more over the course of my life.  I go with the step-parent in today's cartoon: if I can love a child that isn't my own as if it were, then, technically, aren't I really living up to what being a parent really means?

Anyhoo, I'm at Titchy Con tomorrow! So, if you live in Ipswich or the surrounding area (and if you don't, don't use that as an excuse!), come down and say hello!  I'll have my limited edition prints from Carbon Creative Arts, brand new postcards, and super-limited framed, signed prints for sale!  Look forward to seeing everyone!

Enjoy!

Pro Gamers Versus Curlers

Based on a suggestion by Daniel Slater.

A while back, Dan suggested Pro Gamers Versus Pro Athletes and I've been racking my brain to come up with a good way of doing the cartoon ever since.  I finally decided to shift the focus onto particular sports people and spread the idea out into a mini trilogy.  So, this week will see our pro gamer taking on various sports people-hope you like them!

In other news, unfortunately I will no longer be attending Geek Central on March 1st in Brighton.  I got my dates mixed up and completely forgot that my fiancee is away that same weekend and that I have to look after my step son for a few days.  Apologies to the Geek Central guys, I WILL make it to the next one!

I will still be attending Titchy Con on March 7th though and I'll be bringing some new postcards to sell!  I've got my Time Traveller/Doctor Who themed mini trilogy of cartoons, American Footballers Versus Rugby Players and a new version of Astronauts Versus Angels.

All of these cards will be available to buy along with the original run of postcards, plus limited edition, high quality prints from Carbon Creative Arts and super limited, framed, signed prints.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Enjoy!

Werewolves Versus Butlers

Alas, he never got the job...

I have a couple of convention appearances coming up!  First off, on March 1st, I'll be attending Geek Central at Komedia in Brighton.

They'll be having their first ever Cosplay competition, retro gaming, tournaments, beta testing as well as signings and other special events.  I'll be there from 11am.

Then on March 7th, my home town of Ipswich is holding Titchy-Con!

They'll have a huge variety of stalls, some celebrity signings and all manner of events going on.  If you're in the area, come down and say hello!

For both these cons, I'll have a selection of Versus postcards, limited edition prints and super limited edition framed prints for sale and possibly some other goodies.  I hope to you there!

Enjoy!
